Concerned about the lack of identity-related tools available to you? Want to learn what's being done across the community to close this gap and how to get involved? Come to Advance CAMP: Identity Summit IV and discuss these topics and more with your colleagues.

Advance CAMP will be held from 1:30 pm Thursday October 4th through 3:00 pm Friday October 5th, 2012 after the Internet2 Fall Member Meeting in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The meeting will feature an unconference-style agenda, providing substantial time for exploration and discussion of topics and work items of general interest to participants in the area of Identity Services:

• Enterprise-cloud integration, including Internet2 Net+ services
• Identity Services for mobile applications
• Identity Services for Research and Virtual Organizations
• Provisioning and integration tools and standards
• Identity registries and associated interfaces

SEEKING the participation of architects, developers, and deployers of open-source and commercial software, services, and frameworks to:

• Engage in solving identity-related challenges encountered in developing application software and cloud sourcing strategies.
• Hear about who's doing what and how to participate in or leverage their activities.
• Discuss open source development activities with members of Grouper, Kuali KIM, and CIFER working groups.
• Develop your take-aways for using technologies such as Google Apps for Education, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML, OpenSocial, Spring, and Django, among others.
• Expand international participation in the development of community identity solutions.

It's Your Meeting

Led by you, the attendees, the Advance CAMP's unconference format provides the flexibility to take the meeting where you want it to go. Pitch your challenges and possible solutions to your colleagues and work together to determine the breakout sessions and set the agenda. At the end, identify the common most pressing needs and volunteer for project teams to move the issues forward.

Past Identity Services Summits have yielded discussions and solutions for developer practices in federating applications and federated group management as well as investigating SPML and provisioning to the cloud. Eighteen projects were identified last year and fifteen were either completed, are still ongoing, or were adopted by organizations like Jasig as a more formal project.

Plan to Participate

Advance CAMP is actively seeking the participation of architects, developers, and deployers of open source and commercial-sponsored software, services, and frameworks.  We are looking to

- Engage in solving identity-related challenges of importance to you
- Hear about who's doing what and how to participate in or leverage their activities
- Develop your take-aways for using technologies such as Facebook, OAuth, OpenID, SAML, Kuali KIM, OpenSocial, Spring, and Django among others
- Participate in developing the next generation identity services landscape
