Develop recommendations and usage guidelines for utilizing the Educause Connect platform to support the Itana program.

  1. Improve Itana communications
  2. Improve the experience of participants interested in engaging with Itana.
  3. Improve the experience of participants interested in engaging with other architects in the community.
  4. Strengthen intersections between Itana, other Educause Community Groups, and the higher education community.
  5. Catalyze the ability of Itana members to meet, engage, and build relationships with colleagues.
  6. Work as a "companion" to the Itana wiki and Itana Google drive content management systems.

Administration

  1. Streamline communications and program management.
  2. Streamline the support of time-limited and perpetual working groups while providing a cohesive experience for the entire program.
  3. Support multiple contributors including the Itana Steering Group and the Working Group co-leads.
  4. Promote Itana more broadly in the higher education community.
  5. Function as a launch point for the architecture-related content curated on the Itana Wiki.

Support

  1. Clearly articulate how the Educause Connect platform fits into Itana's overall content management and information architecture ecosystem.
  2. Help the Itana leadership leverage the Educause Connect platform.
  3. Provide guidance on how to perform standardized practices for popular use cases.
  4. Provide feedback to Educause regarding pluses, delta's, and aha moments in using the platform.

Scope

  • Learn about the Educause Connect platform's capabilities, constraints, and short-term planned improvements.

  • Provide the Itana Steering Group with a recommended approach to incorporate the platform in support of the Itana program.

  • Develop an Educause Connect Standard Practice guide for the most common use cases.

  1. Work with Educause to learn about the Educause Connect platform's capabilities, constraints, and short-term planned improvements.
  2. Develop a set of the most popular Itana use cases anticipated.
  3. Request essential access to explore the platform in support of those use cases.
  4. Draft recommendations to the Itana Steering Group and work with them to establish a clear direction.
  5. Develop the standard practice guide.
  6. Determine if the group should conclude or reconvene at a future date to review and assess the platform.
