IdP and SP at Hobson's

Hobson has an IdP and SP talking within their environment.

LDAP back end.

Time to get Nate on a call with their team. About ready to do a load test, need to define features. Still looking at 'mostly' stateless. Need to assemble the system in a way that is like what we're trying to accomplish business wise.

LDAP is fast at reads, making it a likely good choice for a back end.

Are you looking to load a million fake users, or a few users with massive hits? A: A few users. Load up processes. How much memory? Then scale up to 1 to 5 million fake users. OpenLDAP might have issues scaling that large. Look at RedHat's "389" product, when properly configured it's very hard to kill. It is more complicated to set up.

Still need an IdP for service validation. Account management design. Needs to be separate from load testing environment. Hope for real load testing real data in two weeks.
