Circuit Monitoring Implementation for OSCARS presentation at 2011 SMM

Inter-domain dynamic circuit networks are beginning to provide scientists and researchers with the necessary guaranteed, high bandwidth connections that allow the transfer of large datasets without interfering with other production traffic. These networks present challenges to end users when they encounter problems with these connections due to both the opacity of the end-to-end connection as well as the fact that these problems are often isolated to the traffic on that connection as opposed to affecting a wider range of users. The DYNES project is looking to significantly expand the users of these dynamic circuit networks, and as part of that project, Internet2 is working with other groups on a standard approach for monitoring these inter-domain circuits.

Aaron Brown from Internet2 will discuss the planned architecture for monitoring these circuits, and the software implementing this architecture as part of the DYNES work.
