The Network for Computational Nanotechnology is a scientific and engineering community that operates nanoHUB, a "metaportal" or community portal that is used to bring new services and applications to the community. nanoHUB uses both local web-based services and both grid and traditional TeraGrid computational resources. NCN community members have accounts and access privileges managed within the nanoHUB portal. TeraGrid usage is audited within nanoHUB to enable validation of TeraGrid's charges to the NCN community TeraGrid allocation. Campus authentication can be used to bootstrap community membership.
