Mission
The mission of the eduGAIN Policy and Community Working Group (WG) is to review and propose changes to the InCommon legal and policy framework for the purposes of supporting the eduGAIN inter federation infrastructure.This working group is sponsored by Steering's External Relations and Governance (ERG) Subcommittee of the InCommon Steering Committee.
Membership
Membership comprises:
- Steering ERG Member
- TAC Member
- Research Representative/Sponsor
- Security Representative
- Privacy Representative
- Members at large
- Policy Resource
- Staff support
The chair of the WG is appointed by the ERG and is responsible for keeping the ERG informed regarding WG status.
Deliverables
- Review of InCommon legal and policy and eduGAIN frameworks. An initial gap analysis is available.
- Proposed language changes to relevant documents to accommodate the eduGAIN requirements.
- Community review and notification of the changes.
- Final recommendation for Steering Committee vote.
Expected End Date
The WG is expected to complete all deliverables and either close or recharter by November 1, 2014.
