With 99 people registered for 2012 Advance CAMP, there is a lot of excitement around this event, being held in Philadelphia, Oct. 4-5.

The overarching goal is about setting the direction for the community on what's next for identity in higher education.

According to Tom Barton, Advance CAMP program committee chair, "We are excited about the group of architects, developers and deployers who are participating in the 2012 Advance CAMP. The unconference format used at ACAMP allows participants to set the agenda at the start of the meeting, which means we can address the most current and most pressing issues."

Here are just a few of the topics getting a lot of buzz just prior to Advance CAMP: enterprise-cloud integration, identity issues around Net+ services, identity services for mobile applications, identity services for research and virtual organizations, and the CIFER project (http://www.ciferproject.org/).

Advance CAMP is sponsored by the InCommon Federation in cooperation with Internet2. Additional sponsors include the Internet Society, the Kuali Foundation and Unicon.
