Attending

Heather Flanagan, Internet2 (Chair)
Ken Klingenstein, Internet2
Benn Oshrin, Internet2
Emily Eisbruch, Internet2, scribe

DISCUSSION

InCommon R&S Category
COmanage applied to be in the R&S category
Questions were raised about whether demo (versus production) software should be in the InCommon R&S category

VIVO
Heather forwarded to the Comanage-TAC list the 10-Dec-2012 email from
Jon Corson-Rikert of VIVO.
Ken may attend a Federal Demonstration Partnership (FDP) meeting Jan 27-29, in DC. There could be interesting discussion about scholarly identity at the FDP meeting.
There may be interest in offering Internet2 Net+ services around scholarly identity. Ken might potentially play a role in constructing a Net+ service offering in this space.

LIGO
Heather reported on the Face to Face meeting at end of November 2012 with the LIGO staff.
Did a straight COmanage demo, not the "LIGO-flavored" demo
Good questions were asked and the LIGO staff liked what they saw
Next steps for LIGO will focus on coding
Hope to have a production version by the Internet2 Annual Meeting in April

SDCI Grant
Aug. 31, 2013 is the conclusion of the SDCI grant
Internet2 will most likely have funding for COmanage to run thru end of 2013 (based on current burn rate)
LIGO started on the SDCI grant work a year later than Internet2 did, so LIGO has additional time left on their grant
Heather is checking with Nili on issues around the time left on the grant
IPLANT has spent just one quarter of their SDCI grant money
Heather will send Nirav a note early in Jan 2013 to set up a meeting to discuss
Ken will attend an Identity Ecosystem Steering Group (IDESG) meeting in Phoenix Feb  5-7. This could be a chance to meet with iPLANT
